Top 5 Barcelona Shirts | Legend Collection
Published 7 October 2026
The Barça way, handed down
Més que un club. FC Barcelona is something altogether rarer: an idea of how football should be played, a shirt with expectations passed from one generation to the next.
Johan Cruyff gave it to a slight La Masia midfielder called Pep Guardiola. Guardiola passed it on to a teenager from Terrassa named Xavi. Ronaldinho made the whole world fall in love with it again, then lifted the first pass to the boy who would carry it further than anyone.
That thread runs through this list of the top 5 Barcelona shirts from the MWS Legend Collection. Five shirts, five legends, each worn on a night when the club's future was quietly taking shape.
Every Wednesday, Legend Collection gives you rare chances to own worn & signed shirts from football icons.
Lionel Messi
€56,841 | Match-worn & signed
Manchester United vs. FC Barcelona, friendly 2012

The boy Ronaldinho once carried across the Camp Nou turf became the club's all-time top scorer, with 672 goals and 35 trophies in Blaugrana. He changed what anyone thought a footballer could be.
This shirt belongs to 2012, the year he scored 91 times for club and country. Yeah, that year. Worn against Manchester United in Gothenburg that August, and signed by Messi himself, it captures the greatest player of all time at the very summit of his powers. No wonder it sits at the top of this list.
Pep Guardiola

FC Barcelona 5-1 Chelsea, Champions League 2000
Before there was Pep, there was Josep
Long before he became a touchline mastermind, he was the metronome of the Cruyff Dream Team. He won the club's first European Cup in 1992, and was then captain for the rest of his playing days at Camp Nou.
In April 2000, injury kept him out of a Champions League quarter-final first leg against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Lining up in his place was a 20-year-old Xavi, and Barça came home needing two goals.
Guardiola returned for the second leg and swung in the cross for Dani García's header that forced extra time. Camp Nou took care of the rest.
The shirt went home with Jody Morris, the Chelsea midfielder handed the job of shadowing him. Eight years later, Guardiola walked back in as head coach and won 14 trophies in four seasons, a club record.
Xavi

Guardiola taught him the position at La Masia. Xavi then made it his own for 17 years.
Until Messi eclipsed him, nobody had played more games for Barcelona: 767 in all, with 25 trophies and two trebles along the way. Few players have ever seen a pitch the way he did. Always a few passes ahead of everyone else on it.
He wore this no. 6 at Camp Nou in November 2007, as Frank Rijkaard's side beat Rangers to take control of their Champions League group. The following summer, his old mentor returned as coach. With Xavi pulling the strings, the club was about to embark on the most dominant run in its history.
Ronaldinho

Just look at the details on this Dinho shirt
When Ronaldinho arrived from PSG in 2003, Barça had gone four years without a league title. Within two seasons it was back, and that famous grin became the face of the club. In 2005 he was named the world's best player, and even the Bernabéu rose to applaud him. Imagine.
But one of his most important contributions might be one you've forgotten. In May 2005, he chipped the ball through for a 17-year-old Lionel Messi to score his first Barça goal, then hoisted him onto his back in celebration.
Messi started alongside him for this match at Ibrox in October 2007. Within a year, the number on the back of this shirt would be his.
David Villa

A goalscoring performance from Villa at at the Emirates
Villa arrived in the summer of 2010 as a World Cup winner, and slotted into Guardiola's attack as if he'd been raised there.
At the Emirates in February 2011, he raced onto a pass from Messi and slid home with ice-cool precision, one of the stepping stones on a European run that ended in triumph at Wembley. There, in May, he curled in the third goal of the final against Manchester United, a strike he later called the most important of his career.
Wembley is where the story comes full circle. On that same patch of north-west London, 19 years earlier, a young Guardiola had won Barça's first European Cup as a player. This time he watched from the dugout, as the idea he'd inherited conquered Europe once more.
Stay in the loop
